Most of the members present were not aware of the Touchdown production DVD offering and it was suggested that GCSSA put out emails or web site information. No committee reports, but it was announced that Ed Kirkley volunteered to be on the Rules Committee. Anderson reminded the membership about the bat auction and got two members to submit a bid. Eacobacci advised that a manager had requested a different date for the All Star Game, specifically to do it a week or two latter in order to get half the season games in and allow for a better choice of All Stars. A small discussion followed with no action taken. Bob Swarthout advised that Stucki Jewelers had opened a second shop that will specialize in Trophies, Plaques and award type items. Anderson advised that the League would get quotes from Stucki Jewelers for this years awards. New team sponsors for the week night league are Washington Town Generals and Players Pizza. Ten members or close associates will attend a first aid-CPR class on April 10, 2010. The League is buying these students a lunch for their volunteer effort. Dick Scott will be working with the scorers in an attempt to have scoring done directly to a Lap Top. Dick has purchased the needed software and hardware and is running tests on the system. The 2010 budget proposal was reviewed and discussed by the membership. A motion was made seconded and passed to approve the All Star expenditure. A motion was made seconded and passed to accept the budget as proposed. A member asked if the bulletin board could be put on the shed as it interfered with fan viewing. Schatz and Calkins volunteered to install on the shed. A member advised that the shield on field one interfered with fan viewing. The position was chosen to provide safety for the players. A member asked what happen to the idea of getting sponsors to buy advertising. The idea is still alive but the league has not come up with sales people to find advertisers. The league needs a member to head up this endeavor and provide a total plan for fees, storage, maintenance etc. The volunteer crews are being assembled. We hope to use the same plan as last year which had the Tuesday and Thursday batting practice players groom the fields and a roster of players to come early on Mondays for the job. Meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM. After meeting bidding was made on the Freak bat. The winning bid was made by Bob Briggs.
