SOFTBALL EMERGENCY BOARD MEETING
Minutes, June 17TH,
2008
- Board meeting called to order at 8:07
pm, at Gateway Park #2 field grandstand.
- Board members present: Wilson,
Reinhardt, Furman, Kasparian, Montgomery, Eacobacci, Silveria.
3.
Subject: Placement of three players to teams that
have lost players for the season.
- Tom Coletti, a Saturday player, to
play as a floater for any team needing a substitute.
- Mike Henning, a weeknight player,
will be ranked as a #2 player and take the place of Tom Paone, who was
ranked #2 for Wachovia Securities. Henning will be a floating substitute if
Tom Paone returns later in the season.
- Danny Estin, a weeknight player,
will be ranked as a #1, taking the place of Dominic Albano, who is ranked as
a #1, and Estin will be a floating substitute when Albano returns, but not
on Albano’s team.
- The league is at the halfway point
of the season, therefore the players will be making a half season membership
fee.
4. Subject: Home plate ruling.
Home plate outs will
be recorded only on the white part of the plate mat.
5. Subject: Game time change.
Games to be extended from 50 to 60
minutes. Open inning to start following the 60 minute time, if needed. Game
clock will start at 5:30 pm, regardless of the teams being ready. 6:45 games
can be started a few minutes late if previous game runs long, as there is
ample light remaining.
6. Subject: Player
substitutions.
Player substitution
rules will be looked at, and a fair ruling made to avoid the problems that
have risen.
- Rule changes will take effect on
Monday, June 23RD, 2008.
